    A burgundy and black plaid wool shirt-jacket by US outdoors brand, Black Bear. Noted flaws - three vertical machine repairs at the lower front right, the left cuff edge has been re-stitched, the buttons look to be either (matching) replacements or have been resewn - please see photos. Great condition otherwise, Union tag in the right hand pocket, same design as Filson’s 110 jacket, excellent quality, thick wool, doubled lined over the shoulder and arms, great colour, press studs work as they should, two chest pockets, two hand pockets, straight through back pocket, perfect as a lightweight jacket or a thick, warm layer, weighs 1.8kg, suitable for everyone.

Sizing details

Measurements for each item are within the listing. Items are laid flat and measurements taken in inches. Please compare the measurements provided with a similar item of your own to ensure a good fit.
Perceptions of sizing such as 'small', 'medium' or 'large' can differ from person to person and between brands - please go by the measurements provided. If you need any further, specific or clarification on measurements, please ask before purchasing and I'll be happy to help.
I don't know whether an item will fit you or not - I've probably never met you! It is your responsibility to check that the measurements are right for you.

Postage and Tracking

I am based in Totnes in the South West of the UK. I send all free UK items under 2kg 2nd class with Royal Mail. There is no tracking with this service, but you can upgrade at the checkout if you need tracking or a faster service. Please get in touch prior to purchase if you need something sending quickly and I can advise how best to get it to you! UK parcels over 2kg are sent with tracking.
I gladly send items worldwide (except to German addresses due to the LUCID packaging laws) and will find you the cheapest tracked option for items over 2kg. I refund any postage overcharges. EU customers now have to pay customs and duty charges; please send me a message if you have any concerns about this; please don’t ask me to falsify customs forms!

Can I have a discount?

Unless you are buying 3+ items, I do not offer discounts. I do not discount individual items. Please get in touch if you are interested in buying 3 or more items and please understand that I'm not a wholesaler. I do not offer discounts because you don’t want to pay customs charges and I will not falsify customs forms for you.

How do I know if an item will fit me?

Please compare the measurements provided in the listing with a similar item of your own that fits you well; if they are the same or very similar, it should be a good fit for you.

Lay the item flat; smoothed out flat, but not stretched. The pit to pit measurement is taken under the armpits.
Shoulders are measured flat across the front from the outer shoulder seam to outer shoulder seam.
Arms are measured along the uppermost edge, from outer shoulder seam to cuff. Raglan sleeves, armpit to cuff.
The length is measured from the back of the collar seam down to the front hem.

What sort of packaging do you use?

I use mailing bags which are made from responsibly sourced sugar cane. They look and feel like plastic, but are fully recyclable and have a carbon neutral footprint. I try and keep packaging to a minimum to avoid excess weight and transport costs.

Do you accept returns?

Yes, of course; please contact me within 3 days of delivery if the item isn't right for you. I do not refund initial postage if the item is returned to me by the post office due to an incorrect or incomplete address or because an item wasn't collected by you from your local collections office; it is your responsibility to provide me with accurate, full and complete address and contact details so your parcel reaches you safely. Please also refer to Q. 10 for international returns. I will only refund the cost of postage in instances where I have made a mistake with measurements.

Can you put a lower amount on the customs form for me?

The short answer is no, please don’t ask me to do this as it is a crime! Sadly, due to Brexit, duty and VAT is now due on orders to EU countries from the UK. Etsy can take the VAT due at the point of sale and duty will be payable when the parcel arrives in your country. You can check your government’s website for the actual amount. As I am a registered business seller, customs officials CAN and WILL check against my online shop for any discrepancies & if I’ve falsified the customs form or can’t provide an accurate receipt, your order will either be returned to me (at your cost) or destroyed and I could lose my business - please don’t ask me to do this! Asking me to mark it as a gift doesn’t work; duty is still payable!

Attention international customers!

I happily send items worldwide, but due to LUCID packaging laws, I can no longer send items to German addresses. These orders will be cancelled and refunded immediately. Please don’t ask me to falsify customs forms! If an item is returned to me because you don’t want to pay customs or duty, I will refund the cost of the ITEM ONLY, once it is returned to me; I will not refund the cost of the postage! Please ensure that you have provided me with the correct contact details to make the customs process as smooth as possible. If I am charged additional return postage or fees (same for returns), I will deduct these from your original purchase amount - please be sure to check customs amounts on your country’s government website prior to purchase
